Benefits of Becoming a ChipIn nonprofit

ChipIn payment processing provides its merchants with pre-certified nonprofits so that merchants can easily donate on a reoccurring basis. Becoming a verified nonprofit means you get exclusive access to direct funding monthly.

As you may know, companies are being asked what they are doing with regards to ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) issues.

ESG criteria are a set of standards for a company’s behavior used by socially conscious investors to screen potential investments. Environmental criteria consider how a company safeguards the environment, including corporate policies addressing climate change, for example.

We have found that private equity firms can use ChipIn payment processing across their portfolio of companies to talk about what they are doing in the ESG space with regards to their ability to GIVE BACK or GIVE to certain causes.

Descriptive Video Transcript

Speaker 1 (00:04): "We are very fortunate here in our community to work with the mountain and the school district, and the people who benefit the most from that are our students."

Speaker 2 (00:17): "The Mammoth Mountain Community Foundation supports academic and athletic programs for kids in our community."

Speaker 3 (00:26): "We really look at how can we do things in the school district, allow us to do things maybe a little differently that provide some extra benefits for our students."

Speaker 1 (00:36): "Partnerships are vital to be able to bring these programs to our kids."

Speaker 2 (00:45): "ChipIn is the credit card processor and they donate their revenue that they make on all of the credit card sales at Mammoth Mountain and other local businesses and donate that to MMCF. And in turn, we then funnel that through to our local school district to help support K through 12 programs that really help raise the level of excellence in our school"

Speaker 1 (01:04): "District. We are so fortunate to have donations come in from the mountain, from MMCF, and some of the things that they've done is provided these experiences for our kids that we wouldn't otherwise have."

Speaker 2 (01:15): "It's a great way to raise money and then we get to give that money to kids in our community."

Speaker 3 (01:25): "I think that our children are our future. To me, they're the most important part of a community, and that's one of the reasons why we decided to do the STEM program. It's something special for our elementary students."

Speaker 1 (01:38): "STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and math. Something a little different than the basic science standards that you'll find in K through 12. More hands-on more engineering and more integrating of other topics."

Speaker 4 (01:52): "I believe without the donation program, this music program might not exist. All over the state, music programs have been cut. So with these contributions coming in, I think it really keeps music alive in our district and allows me to offer music to over 600 kids. This music program, which is offered for students K through 12, is highly beneficial for our students. So music can be that release, that moment of joy in their life, and maybe something that they hold onto for the rest of their lives."
